CHALLENGE
To create awareness,branding and fully activate Philadelphia’s Historic District —an area that had been overlooked by tourists and locals alike, to turn it into a burgeoning neighborhood.
METHOD
An integrated marketing approach using paid and
earned media, heavily targeted social media, and timely events to activate existing attractions and create opportunity to drive visitation to the neighborhood.
RESULTS
- 191 million impressions across social and advertising.
- 3,397 earned media placements which generated 295 million impressions.
- An 11% increase from 2015 visitor numbers.

PRODUCED
- Summer Sounds in The Historic District: For five nights a week all summer long, the sound of music filled up Philadelphia’s Historic District with 90 free performances featuring live jazz, DJTunes, and Latin grooves.
- Revolutionary: A Pop-Up Street Art Exhibition: The award winning pop up exhibition featured 13 works of art that interpreted the spirit of revolution at 13 locations in Philadelphia’s Historic District.
- Electric Philadelphia by David Guinn (In Progress): In partnership with Mural Arts, commissioned a lighted mural at a busy gateway to the district at 6th & Vine to portray the neighborhood as vibrant and welcoming.
